Morphology
On Potato dextrose medium colonies growing rapidly; aerial mycelium white, usually becoming purple; reverse hyaline to dark purple. Conidiophores are short, single, lateral monophialides. ?Macroconidia fusiform, slightly curved, pointed at the tip, 3-(5)-septate.? Microconidia abundant, mostly non-septate, ellipsoidal to cylindrical, straight or often curved, 5-12 × 2.3-3.5 μm. Chlamydospores terminal or intercalary.
